HUGS supports Hawaii families with a child up to age 21 who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or disease.

Our nonprofit organization provides comprehensive, long-term support to each member of the family, to ensure they don't have to face their challenges alone.

Our Mission

To strengthen Hawaii’s families and improve their quality of life as they face the emotional and financial hardships of caring for a seriously ill child.

Programs and services are available to families without charge because of the support of our generous donors.

HUGS offers programs to alleviate the emotional and financial hardships of caring for a seriously ill child, while providing opportunities for families to come together in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Upcoming Events

Your donations ensure monthly family events, Sibcamp for brothers and sisters, hospital visits, respite care, peer-to-peer support, emergency airfare assistance, annual special events, and other programs remain free of charge to local families throughout Hawaii.
