How to become a HUGS Volunteer

The children and families are at the heart of HUGS, but our volunteers are the heartbeat. The dedication of volunteers enables HUGS to continue serving Hawaii’s seriously ill children and their families. HUGS is always in need of committed and caring volunteers to assist with our family programs such as respite care and hospital visitations, and with office support. Become a part of the HUGS team and share your expertise, passion and heart with us.

We are grateful to the 1,432 volunteers who
provided 6,343 hours of service to HUGS
in 2017.

Volunteer opportunities include:

FAMILY PROGRAMS

"It was great the whole night. I was surprised at the trust we can build in this short period of time. He held my hands tight, hugged me and told me today was a fun day."
