HAWAII CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL HOLDS BENEFIT CONCERT SERIES TO SUPPORT HUGS AND OTHER LOCAL CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS

HONOLULU – HUGS (Help Understanding & Group Support), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Hawaii’s families with seriously ill children, will be collaborating with Hawaii Chamber Music Festival (HCMF) for a concert to benefit HUGS at Stage Restaurant’s Cupola Gallery on June 11, 2022.
HCMF returns June 11-18, fully in person for the first time since March 2020, to present the Ellen Masaki Ohana Series. Dedicated to legendary local pianist Ellen Masaki, the chamber music series will showcase a variety of world-renowned musicians while also featuring local collaborations.
The Festival opens Saturday, June 11, presenting “Passport” in collaboration with HUGS at the Stage Restaurant’s Cupola Gallery. Celebrating HUGS’ 40th anniversary, the evening will feature international music ranging from tango, classical, and pop. Internationally renowned violinist Miclen LaiPang will headline the event, performing the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires with local professional musicians. Doors open at 6pm and will include curated pupus, desserts, and drinks followed by a concert performance. General admission tickets are $50 per person and special VIP seating with enhanced offerings are from $500 for a party of four.
This concert will be just one of five, each at different locations and benefitting different local non-profit organizations.
